It is characterised by a typical umami flavour that enhances the flavours, and taste in food products. It is mostly used in food preparations like soups, instant noodles, seasonings, savouries, extruded snacks, sauces, canned foods, spray dry mixes, fin-food, fish products and many others. It also used to improve the flavour in freeze dried products.
