1-2-Taste, the B2B Food Ingredients Platform raises Seed Funding from Navus Ventures and other investors

1-2-Taste Holding (Nijmegen, the Netherlands) has raised Seed Financing from Navus Ventures; Ketelbink, a van Eeghen family fund; and private investors. The funds will be used to accelerate Growth and Geographic expansion.

1-2-Taste is changing the B2B ingredients industry with its Digital Platform for Food Ingredients: On 1-2-Taste food and beverage manufacturers can easily search, select and order ingredients, all online on the same platform. Next to a continuous growing offering of ingredients the platform also connects companies to unique tools and services.

Jasper Schouten, 1-2-Taste’s CEO & Co-founder: “1-2-Taste is excited with this new financing round. Our results are very promising and the opportunity ahead of us is tremendous. 1-2-Taste has serviced over 1000 customers and supports 80+ supply partners in their digital journey. The food ingredients industry wants to order ingredients as easily as ordering on Amazon: that is why they are ready to order on the 1-2-Taste digital platform. Using digital tools means faster product development for a food manufacturer, combined with help finding specific ingredients and access to unique technical expertise at the same time. That is disruptive in the food ingredients business.”

Eduard Meijer, Navus Ventures: “Our investment in 1-2-Taste fits in our overall strategy where we want to operate at the forefront of technical developments that make the food industry more sustainable. The founders’ in-depth understanding of the food ingredients industry and traction of 1-2-Taste makes us excited for the future”

Jeroen van Eeghen, Van Eeghen Family Fund: “The opportunities in digitising the B2B food ingredients industry are what excite me: 1-2-Taste has a unique positioning and can address an enormous market through their platform. This investment will help in cementing their business model and prepare them for a next major leap”

Rob Zuidema, leading private investor and former Booking.com CHRO & Board Member: “1-2-Taste has a fantastic concept in its hands with global potential. Historically, the Netherlands has always been strong in the trade of food ingredients – seeing 1-2-Taste as a digital platform player emerge in this field has the potential to change the trade of food ingredients in present days drastically.“
