Description
Reb-D is a minor steviol glycoside present in the Stevia leaf which is commercially produced using techniques like enzyme modification and fermentation due to its scarcity in the leaf. It is an odourless, creamish-white powder, almost 300- 350 times sweeter than sucrose, having a clean and pleasant taste with no aftertaste. Reb-D has been deemed GRAS by the US FDA, in addition to approval by the EU EFSA and can be used as a sweetener and a flavour.
