The base recipe can be enriched with spices and flavors to create a more complex taste profile. It is widely used not only in vegan meat alternatives but also in the growing segment of hybrid meat products, where it helps reduce costs and minimize environmental impact of the finished product. This product is gluten-free.
Functional properties and applications
During extrusion, shear forces and additional protein generate a fibrous texture that replicates the bite of meat. TVP demonstrates excellent water-binding and water-holding capacity, which helps to reduce cooking losses and enables it to retain flavor components in hybrid recipes. Thanks to extrusion cooking, the proteins in TVP are highly digestible.

The product maintains its quality for minimum of 24 months from the date of production when stored in a cool and dry place, protected from sunlight.
