BioActor Naxus® is 100% Natural clean label product obtained from wheat arabinoxylan extract standardized for high levels of arabinoxylans from the endosperm. It is slowly soluble in water and is clinically validated to systemically down-regulate glucose and insulin levels. It also improves gut barrier integrity and the adaptive and innate immune cells.
Naxus® escapes human digestive enzymes and reaches the colon intact. Due to the complex and branched structure of arabinoxylan molecules, Naxus® is slowly metabolized by the gut microbiota to form large amounts of short-chain fatty acids (SCFAs) like acetate, butyrate and propionate.
Gut Barrier: Naxus® modulates the intestinal luminal environment through the upregulation of tight junction proteins.
Innate Immunity: Naxus® improves monocytes recruitment capacity and activate regulatory T-cells, increasing immune system vigilance.
