It is highly soluble in water, and the solution is highly stable during storage. Cluster Dextrin can be used as a component of Sport Nutrition, as Ready-to-Mix (RTM), as Spray drying aid and to mask bitter off-notes of, for example, BCAA’s.

Description

Cluster Dextrin™, also called Highly Branched Cyclic Dextrin (HBCD) is a new type of carbohydrate for sports nutrition. It is manufactured from corn starch utilising enzymatic reactions. It is highly soluble in water, and the solution is highly stable during storage.

The sweetness of Cluster Dextrin is low compared with the sweetness of dextrins with a relatively high DE.
Beverages combining Cluster Dextrin are characterised to contain highly concentrated carbohydrates and fast gastric emptying.
Cluster Dextrin is especially suitable as a spray drying aid and also for oil water-soluble substances such as extracts of fruits and vegetables.

Application:

Cluster Dextrin can be used as a component of Sport Nutrition, as Ready-to-Mix (RTM), as Spray drying aid and to mask bitter off-notes of, for example, BCAA’s.
