Biosylx Rosehip or Rosa rubiginosa is a dense rose shrub, valued for both the shells and seeds of its wild harvested rosehip berries. The shells are commonly used in herbal tea, often blended with hibiscus, and the oil extracted from its seeds is often used for cosmetic applications.

Description

The thorny shrub grows on the hilltops and mountains of Lesotho. The fruits are then harvested manually between April to July at organic certified non cultivated lands. The dried rosehip berries are then processed to separate the shells from the seeds.

The shells are milled into our range of various sizes and finally sieved.

Food Applications:

Rosehip shells is commonly used as herbal tea and are a rich source of antioxidants, vitamin C, A, D & E.

Cosmetic Applications:
Rosehip oil contains essential fatty acids and trans-retinoic acids making it a great ingredient for the treatment of scared, sun damaged or aging skin.
