White Cheddar cheese, the most widely purchased and eaten cheese globally, is always made from cow’s milk. Cheddar grated cheese (or simply cheddar) is a natural cheese that is relatively hard, off-white (or orange if colourings such as annatto are added), and sometimes sharp-tasting. It has a slightly crumbly texture if properly cured, and if it is too young, the texture is smooth.
