    Description

    Wakame (Undaria pinnatifida) is one of the best know seaweeds, typically applied in Asian cuisine. Our Dutch Wakame is organic and cultivated in the clean waters of the Easternscheldt in the Netherlands where it grows abundantly. Wakame is nutritious as well as tasteful, famous for its umami taste with a hint of oyster, delicate and sweet. It contains high levels of essential minerals like calcium, magnesium, phosphorous, iodine and zinc, and vitamins A (beta-carotene), C, B1, B2 and B12. It can be applied in salads, soups, noodles and rice, but also as a salt replacement in bread or other dishes. Our Wakame is available in blanched or unblanched sliced frozen portions, as dried flakes, dried powder and frozen cubes.
